Assessment

Gisela provides skilled assessment of children between the ages of 0 to 18 years using a variety of standardised and non-standardised assessments. The purpose of the assessment will be to determine your child’s strengths and weaknesses and to establish the need for further therapy if this is required. Assessment findings will be used to prioritise goals for therapy and will provide a baseline for setting realistic targets.
The assessment will include:
  • Interviews with the parent/caregiver and relevant teaching staff
  • Comprehensive in-depth evaluation of your child
  • Feedback to all relevant parties
  • Provision of a report summarising assessment findings

Gisela works with children and young adults in their home, nursery or school environments. She follows an evidence-based approach to treatment which includes setting measurable and attainable targets in collaboration with the child, caregivers, parents and teachers.

The frequency and duration of treatment sessions are negotiated to meet the individual needs of the child receiving therapy.

Training
